A Yoga & Mindfulness Retreat on the Atlantic Coast in South Tenerife. Disconnect and recharge your energy!
Introduction
Join us for the Breathe & Bliss Retreat, made for digital detox and disconnection. The retreat is set just next to the Atlantic Ocean in exotic nature environments with the accommodation of a rural house (finca), where you have the opportunity to completely concentrate on yourself and your personal development without distractions. We've created a variety of activities that are ideal for unwinding, stepping away from the daily grind, and focusing on only Yourself. Indulge with a balanced diet and the rural houses' surroundings of banana plantations, the Atlantic Ocean, and stunning sunsets that will detox you and energize your overall wellbeing. The theme of this retreat is Disconnection in times of hyperconnection!
We live in a world full of distractions, fostering a "rollercoaster of emotions"
We interact faster and faster in this world. People around us demanding attention, computers and monitors being always accessible, noises, images, videos, the "life" on social media, and other energy draining stimulants that get our attention. Do you recognize these?
The quantity of these stimulants keep increasing every year, as we get connected into more groups on social media, and we get thinking that we want more all the time. We travel more, we interact more. The more places we see, the better and more thrilling experiences we have, we want to learn more, understand more, be part of it all.
Without realizing, we are conditioned to a state of perpetual hyperstimulation, a rollercoaster of emotions, varying degrees of attentional dispersion, and perhaps at times, the abundance of the modern world that overwhelms us to consider the strain in today's society, identifying opportunities for development and discover practical methods for daily life.
The purpose of "Disconnection in Times of HyperConnection" is to reflect on the stress of contemporary society, identify areas for change, acquire practical skills for everyday living, and discover common grounds.
So how can we disengage in the modern world?
- How do we detach in this society that is constantly stimulating?
- In the era of nonstop entertainment, is it possible to learn how to meditate?
- How can we maintain calm at times of heightened activities?
Join us to connect with yourself and the natural world around you as you break free from your daily routine and harmful habits. You will learn to release your mind from societal pressure through Yoga, Healing sounds, Massages, and Workshops, which will also help you to reduce tension and anxiety. You will simply learn and get back to being here and now.
Renowned, experienced professors will lead the retreat with the following activities
Yoga
Yoga provides you with all the tools you need to enhance your quality of life and gain a deeper comprehension of reality.Yoga is a physical and mental discipline that uses breathing to link the body, mind, and spirit. Yogasanas, the physical component of the practice, will assist you in developing greater flexibility, balance, and strength. A yogic lifestyle, however, entails changing our attitudes, routines, meals, thoughts, and general ways of living to be more consistent with the tenets and ethics of yoga. Yoga is more than just physical exercises - it is a way of living that will guide you to inner peace and harmony, and ultimately to a fulfilling life of liberty, joy, and love. We will engage in a variety of yoga practices, ranging from the most active (Vinyasa Flow and Power Yoga) to the most passive and restorative (Yin Yoga and meditation). Each session includes relaxation, asanas (physical postures), pranayama, and meditation. As we offer variants of each posture, all yoga sessions are for different skill levels, from absolute beginners to seasoned practitioners.
Sound Healing
Discover Harmonic Singing, Tibetan Singing Bowls, Quartz Singing Bowls, Native American Flutes, Shruti Box, Shamanic Drum, Monochord, Indian Tampura, Rav Vast Drum, chamanic drums, and harmonic sounds, among other Ancestral Instruments, to experience the power of sound and open your heart.
You will "bathe" in the sounds and vibrations made throughout this healing and contemplative experience.
The vibrational energy of sound is a portal to our wellbeing, enhancing our connection, lining up the chakras, renewing tissues and cells, lowering stress levels, and achieving a state of total relaxation of the body and mind.
Thai Massage
The well-known Thai Massage is extremely similar to Thai Yoga Massage. The main distinction is that it emphasizes on yoga-like stretches. The goals of the yoga therapist include stress relief, increased flexibility, and muscle relaxation. The real purpose of Thai yoga massage, despite the fact that the muscles are stretched and palpated, is to open up the flow of energy throughout the body. This style of massage is influenced by Ayurvedic medical techniques. Your circulatory, lymphatic, and neurological systems may move freely when pathways are unblocked. Your internal systems should be in harmony with one another after receiving a Thai yoga massage.
Qigong
Chi-Kung or Qigong, is an ancient Chinese movement activity that integrates physical exercise, breathg control, and mental training. Qigong is a meditation and healing practice that has been part of traditional Chinese medicine for centuries. The benefits of Qigong include reducing stress and anxiety, improving concentration, and improving balance and flexibility. It may even reduce the risk of certain chronic diseases. Qigong is slow and methodical, flows from one movement to the next, and is easy for almost anyone to practice. Yoga on the other hand, tends to be done at a moderate to fast pace, involves vigorous movements sustained for a period of time, and requires some athletic ability.
Candle Workshop
In this workshop you will learn the basics of candle making. Learn the basics of essential oil blending and have fun creating your own scented candles. At the end of the workshop, new candles are used for tratak. Tratak is a Sanskrit word meaning 'see, see'. It is one of the meditation methods to look at a specific object. Practice while looking at a candle flame. It is a very effective exercise for developing mental focus and concentration. Tratak Meditation improves awareness, concentration and focus and is great for stress relief. This practice will help you feel more balanced emotionally, mentally and spiritually.

Coaches & Practicioners
Sara〢Yoga & Meditation
When I moved to Australia I began to attend classes regularly and develop an interest and commitment to meditation and Vinyasa. But I soon found that yoga was more than a practice, it was a way of life. After years of taking classes, I embarked on a quest to better understand what it all meant. My journey to become a vinyasa yoga teacher first took me to Bali where I completed a 200 hour training in Ubud. Not surprisingly, in the next step of the journey I ended up in the birthplace of yoga, namely Rishikesh, where I completed my training with the certification of 300 hours of RYS.
